Annual Holiday Open House

Alton Grace United Methodist Church invites the public to an Open House on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the church located across from Duke Bakery at 702 Henry Street in Alton.

Plan to attend and bring your friends! You can expect a warm welcome from the church leaders, a jolly Santa and Mrs. Claus, Christmas music, and local crafters offering their goods for sale. Oh, and one more thing, there will be dozens of home-baked cookies!

Alton Grace United Methodist Church has been part of the Alton community since 1852 and has been in its current location on Henry Street since 1880. The inside of the church will be decorated beautifully in preparation of the holiday season.

Some unique features of the Open House include, a display of nativity sets, some with historical significance to the church, and a display of old holiday photographs provided by members of the parish, their family, and friends. All are welcome to bring a favorite nativity set or photographs from Christmas time for the community to enjoy!
